ANG BATANG MATIBAY 2021 AWARDEES

1.	The Department of Education (DepEd), through the External Partnerships Services, and in partnership with Nestle Philippines announces Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees. 2.	The awardees were selected from the 97 nominees who are Grade 5 and 6 learners of public elementary schools from 11 regions in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
3.	The ten Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees were selected and evaluated based on the following criteria and deliberated on June 17, 2021:   Criteria Percentage Inspiring Tibay story ·      An optimistic learner who overcomes physical, emotional and social obstacles just to get to school everyday ·      A learner who is inspired to do something about his life and fully understands the importance of resilience 50% Academic Achievement: Minimum of 85% latest general average 25% Degree of involvement in non-academic/extracurricular projects: school and/or community 25% Total 100%
4.	Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardees and their respective elementary schools will receive the following prizes:   Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardee ·      Bear Brand® Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Plaque of Recognition ·      P50,000.00 cash prize ·      College scholarship grant ·      Bear Brand® Fortified gift pack Elementary School of Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Awardee ·      Bear Brand® Ang Batang Matibay 2021 Plaque of Recognition ·      Laptop computer ·      Bear Brand® Fortified gift pack     The prizes listed above will be given to the ten awardees and their respective schools through Alphabet Soup Inc., the partner agency of BEAR BRAND® Fortified, who will visit the respective areas (fully compliant to COVID-19 safety and health protocols) in preparation for the virtual awards ceremony on September 4, 2021.
