INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2025 DOKYUBATA VIDEO DOCUMENTARY CONTEST OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR CHILDREN'S TELEVISION

l. The Department of Education (DepEd), in collaboration with the National Council for Children's Television (NCCT), enjoins all public and private secondary schools to participate in the 2025 DokyuBata Video Documentary Competition.

 

2. This year's theme, KILOMETER 0: Mga Lokal na Kuwento para sa Pandaigdigang Adhikain at Pagbabago, aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and highlights the global pillars of People, Planet, Peace, Prosperity, and Partnerships. The competition aims to empower youth-driven narratives that explore hope, identity, and the future through the lens of young Filipino storytellers.

 

3. All junior and senior high schools nationwide are encouraged to submit at least one entry to the competition. Schools that offer the Special Program in the Arts are highly encouraged to participate.

 

4. The competition has three competing divisions. It is open to junior or senior high school students, educators, government officials, representatives from the youth sector, film documentarists, and content creators all over the country:

 

a. Children Division

i. Open to children aged 12-17 years old.

ii. Video documentaries must have a maximum running time of five minutes.

b. Young Adult Division

i. Open to youth aged 18-23 years old.

ii. Video documentaries must have a minimum of eight minutes and a maximum running time of 10 minutes.

c. Adult Division

i. Open to individuals aged 24 years old and above.

ii. Video documentaries must have a minimum of 13 minutes and a maximum running time of 15 minutes.

 

5. No registration fee, in any amount, will be collected from the participants.

 

6. Participants shall register through bit.ly/DokyuBata2025OfficialEntryForm, either individually or through their representatives.

 

7. The 2025 DokyuBata contest mechanics is enclosed for reference.

 

8. The deadline for submission of entries is September 18, 2025.

 

9.
