Learning Action Cells' Session Guide
Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions are very important in the teaching and learning process. Teachers need to engage with one another regarding different pedagogies in learning delivery. LAC sessions should also be initiated with high support from the School Heads.
Rationale
Different learning areas must have their own LAC Sessions which will support one another in achieving higher literacy index. In Secondary Education (Junior High School and Senior High School), LAC Sessions must be conducted per learning area. In Elementary Education (K to Grade 6), it must be through learning levels. For example, Grades 4 to 6 can have a group for LAC Sessions, and Kinder to Grade 3 will be another. ELLN (Early Language, Literacy and Numeracy) as well endorsed LAC Sessions for K to 3 Teachers.
LAC Sessions provide an opportunity to allow teachers collaborative learning. Though collaborative learning, teachers develop altogether different strategies in teaching and learning. It also becomes an avenue of professional growth and development.
