CHANGE IN THE COMPOSITION OF THE PALARONG PAMBANSA BOARD

1. The Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Memorandum No. 55, s. 2024 entitled Reconstitution of the Palarong Pambansa Board, which contains the composition of the Palarong Pambansa Board under the administration of Secretary Sonny M. Angara, in compliance with Republic Act (RA) No. 10588, otherwise known as the Palarong Pambansa Act of 2013.
2. In the exigency of service and in conformity with the provisions of Republic Act No. 10588 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), the representation of the Department of Education (DepEd) to the Palarong Pambansa Board is hereby amended as follows:

Members: Undersecretary Peter Irving C. Corvera
Undersecretary Trygve L. Olaivar
Undersecretary Wilfredo E. Cabral
OIC-Undersecretary Malcolm S. Garma
Assistant Secretary Dexter A. Galban
Assistant Secretary Janir Ty Datukan
Assistant Secretary Georgina Hernandez-Yang
3. Considering that the Palarong Pambansa portfolio is under this Department's Operations Strand, Assistant Secretary Malcolm S. Garma, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Undersecretary for Operations, is hereby designated as the Secretary General of the Palarong Pambansa.
4. All other provisions in DM 55, s. 2024 shall remain in effect.
