DepEd Memorandum No. 054, s. 2024, provides clarification on DepEd Order No. 011, s. 2024, which amends DepEd Order No. 025, s. 2021, concerning the utilization of funds for the Madrasah Education Program (MEP). CLARIFICATION ON DEPED ORDER NO. 011, s. 2024

(Amendment to DepEd Order No. 025, s. 2021 [Revised Implementing Guidelines on the Utilization of Fund for Madrasah Education Program])

1. To ensure the effective, efficient, and continuous implementation of the Madrasah Education Program (MEP) by addressing the diverse educational needs of Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education (ALIVE) learners, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Order (DO) No. 011, s. 2024 titled Amendment to DepEd Order No. 025, s. 2021 (Revised Implementing Guidelines on the Utilization of Fund for Madrasah Education Program) to increase its Program Support Funds (PSF) for utilization of eligible expenses, subject to the usual government accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

 

2. Relative thereto, DepEd issues clarification on the provision of DO 011, s. 2024 for the information and guidance of regional offices (ROs), schools division offices (SDOs), and ALIVE-implementing schools:

 

Items 18.2.1 and 18.2.2

 

Each Contract of Service (COS) Asatidz shall be entitled to receive a regular monthly compensation of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P12,500.00) inclusive of instructional materials (IMs) allowance upon compliance with the criteria set forth in Item 17.2 of DO 025, s. 2021.

 

3. The total monthly compensation for COS Asatidz shall be adjusted from P8,000 to P12,500, retroactively effective January 2024 onwards unless repealed, rescinded, or modified accordingly.

 

4. All ROs, SDOs, and ALIVE-implementing schools shall ensure the implementation of this adjustment.
