NATIONAL WINNERS OF THE SEARCH FOR THE BEST SUPPLEMENTAL LEARNING MATERIALS IN THE TEACHING OF DEFINED KEY CONCEPTS IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS

1. The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), in partnership with BDO Foundation Inc. and Huawei Technologies Philippines Inc., announces the National Winners of the Search for the Best Supplemental Learning Materials In the Teaching of Defined Key Concepts In Science and Mathematics. The competition was announced through DepEd Memorandum No. 083 s. 2021.
2. The competition highlights teacher's creativity and innovativeness in developing creative and innovative self-learning module (SLM) that best integrate financial literacy concepts in Science and Mathematics lessons. This partnership project also aims to promote understanding on financial literacy concepts using the SLMs developed by teacher-writers.
3. Comprising of four categories, a total of 96 entries coming from various regions were evaluated by the board of judges. The winning entries will be quality assured before uploaded to the DepEd. Learning Resource Portal which may be readily accessed for teachers' future use. The list of winners is provided in the enclosure.
4. The awarding ceremony was held last May 5, 2022 via blended modality and was live streamed in the DepEd Facebook Page.
5. This Office congratulates the national winners and acknowledges the full support of all the participating regions, schools division offices, and schools, as well as the cooperation of school heads, supervisors, and regional directors for the successful conduct of the competition.
6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
