1. The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Planning Service-Policy Research and Development Division (PS-PROD), continues to promote the use of evidence-based research results in decision making and provide an avenue for DepEd personnel to learn from research studies across different sectors while promoting open discussion through the Research O'clock. Established in 2018, Research O'clock constantly keeps up-to-date with the latest trends, topics, and set-up in basic education as well as the interventions in reshaping today's education sector. It convenes educators, researchers, program implementers, education leaders, and policy makers to discuss gains and challenges in education and provide valuable inputs.
2. In line with the gradual transition to offering face to face classes in basic education, Research O'clock 2022, with the theme, Finding the Right Blend: Interventions on the Blended Learning Modality, will be focusing its discussion on the evidence and lessons learned during the implementation of distance learning modalities, and will showcase current interventions in the blended learning modality.
3. This research forum shall engage stakeholders nationwide and shall aid the Department in upholding the quality and right of the Filipino learners for basic education. It will run six episodes from June to November 2022 which will be livestreamed through the DepEd Philippines Facebook page and YouTube channel.
